John F. Klutznick, Principal

John F. Klutznick With more than 20 years of experience in the real-estate industry, Mr. Klutznick brings a breadth and depth of knowledge of investment, development and construction management for office, residential, retail, mixed-use, resort and hospitality projects to the company.

Mr. Klutznick has been involved in various facets of real-estate investment and development for landmark projects across the nation, including The Lodge at Pebble Beach and The Inn & Links at Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach, California, the latter a unique project that required a decade-long coordination with the California Coastal Commission to create a sustainable resort built with environmental sensitivity; The Little Nell hotel, Aspen, Colorado, which involved extensive community facilitation and municipal coordination as well as a focus on retail development; and Fox Plaza, a 34-story office tower in Los Angeles’ Century City. The granite-and-glass structure soon became a landmark, appearing in several motion pictures.

Additionally, Mr. Klutznick has provided strategic consulting services for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and General Dynamics Corporation (GD). For PG&E, he worked through a portfolio evaluation that led to value creation through entitlements, annexation, development, natural resource assessment and asset disposal. With GD, value creation was achieved by repositioning an important yet underutilized Southern California site as an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course and an office park, thus delivering to GD a more appropriate and long-term revenue producing property.

Mr. Klutznick has worked with the Klutznick team since 1985 through various corporate entities and affiliations.

Mr. Klutznick graduated from the University of Colorado and resides in Denver with his family.
